What this policy covers

This policy applies to the clarioncx.com website. It describes the information the site collects, the reasons for collecting it, and the choices visitors have.

The contact form

The contact form asks for a first name, last name, phone number, and email address. A company name and a message are optional. Whatever is typed into the message field is collected too, so it is best to keep sensitive personal information out of it.

Submissions are stored in the form records of the website's hosting provider, Wix, and are emailed to the Clarion CX Advisors mailbox at support@clarioncx.com. They are not copied into any other tool.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the hosting provider records technical details when a page is requested, including the visitor's IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. The hosting provider is Wix. These logs are used to deliver and secure the site. Wix does not publish a fixed retention period for them; its privacy policy says it keeps data for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.

The site stores one preference in the visitor's own browser, which is the light or dark theme chosen with the header button. That preference stays on the visitor's device.

The site serves its fonts (DM Sans and Inter) from its own server, so loading a page does not send the visitor's IP address to a font provider.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses Google Analytics to measure how visitors use its pages. Google Analytics collects information such as the pages viewed, the type of device and browser, the approximate location, and how the visitor arrived, and it uses cookies or similar technologies to do so. Google processes this information for Clarion CX Advisors. Google Analytics does not log or store individual IP addresses, and the account keeps event data for 2 months.

The site does not load Google Analytics when a browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. Visitors can also block it with Google's opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in their browser.

The pages set no advertising cookies, and Google signals and advertising features are turned off in the Google Analytics account. The hosting provider may set cookies that are strictly needed to run the site securely. If other tracking tools are added later, this page will be updated first.

How information is used

Contact form details are used to read and answer the message and to follow up on the conversation it starts. Technical logs are used to run and protect the site, and analytics data is used to see which pages are useful and where they can improve. Clarion CX Advisors does not sell personal information.

Who receives it

The information is handled by the service providers needed to run the site and answer messages. These are Wix (hosting and form storage), Microsoft (the Microsoft 365 mailbox for support@clarioncx.com), and Google (analytics). Information is disclosed beyond that only when the law requires it.

How long it is kept

Contact form messages are kept for 12 months and then deleted from both the Wix form records and the mailbox. A Clarion CX Advisors team member carries out this deletion by hand on a recurring schedule. Hosting logs follow the hosting provider's retention schedule.

Your choices and rights

Anyone who has sent a message can ask what Clarion CX Advisors holds about them, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion by writing to support@clarioncx.com. Residents of some US states, including California, may have additional rights under state privacy laws, such as the right to know, correct, and delete personal information. Anyone can make such a request by writing to support@clarioncx.com. Visitors outside the United States can write to the same address.

Children

The site is written for business readers and is not directed at children. Clarion CX Advisors does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

Changes to this policy are posted on this page with a new date at the top.
